Erik Glotfelty is originally from Prince George's County, Maryland, outside of Washington, DC. He earned a B.S. in Music Education at the University of Maryland at College Park in 1991. After nearly 5 years of teaching music, he left the teaching profession briefly. In the meantime, he married Agatha Smith in 1999, and moved to Newport News. It was there he began teaching Special Education classes. He and his family moved to Chesterfield County, VA, where he served as teacher at Fairfield Middle School, just outside of Richmond, VA, for 13 years.
Erik has served in a variety of ways at different denominations, including as a music director, worship leader and teacher. He earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2013. He became pastor of Mt. Washington Family Worship Center in October of 2015. He still works as a classroom teacher, currently teaching science at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY.
Erik lives with his wife Agatha, his daughter Olivia, his sons Javier and Frederik, and his granddaughter Journey Bea.
